Class of 2020 Preview

012A9448
Share | facebooktwittergoogle_pluslinkedinmail

The JenkinsQB class of 2020 is tied with 2019 as our biggest  class of signal callers. The class features ten quarterbacks throughout the state of Colorado and California. Join us in taking an in-depth look at the future stars of tomorrow.

Connor Burke – Connor is a tremendous athlete at the quarterback spot in this years class. He has great potential in terms of being the next best dual threat quarterback in Colorado. He can run it as well as drop back and make plays from the pocket. He has been working hard on the board and breaking down tape to improve his functional football intelligence. He will be tough to stop once he reaches the high school level.

Cole Bott – Cole is an extremely gifted natural passer of the football for this class. He understands footwork and throwing mechanics extremely well and can absolutely spin it with everyone in his class and in the 2019 class. As he continues his work in the weight room he will only improve in terms of his size and the ability to throw the ball even further down field. He is one to watch in the years to come.

Shane Compton – Shane is a converted linebacker and very new to the quarterback position. With that being said he has picked up the spot with a rapid pace. He has caught up his feet to his natural arm talent ability. Shane can go out and throw it with anyone and now with his mechanics and footwork catching up the sky is the limit for him as a quarterback.

JR Hart – JR may have one of the strongest arms I have ever worked with at his age. When I first saw him he was the definition of a raw power passer. He could throw everything hard and as far as he wanted but was not sure what to do with his feet and the rest of his body. Now JR is tied in with his feet and his lower body mechanics and has added even more arm strength to his already through the rough arm talent. He will be an amazing passer for years to come.

Gavin Herberg – Gavin is a new addition to our program just joining in August. He has done a tremendous job absorbing as much information as possible and quickly catching up on mechanics and football IQ. Gavin is an extremely polished passer and plays on a great team this year. He consistently makes the right choice and once everything comes together and he becomes a total body passer he will be able to throw it as hard and as far as he wants.

Brent Huber – Brent has been on an absolute tear to start this season and it is due to all the hard work I have seen him put in. Brent is an unbelievably sound passer and a great athlete outside of the pocket. He can play in any kind of offense you put him in and will have great success. He is going to be one of the best athletes in this class and will make a high school team very happy when they get him as a freshman.

Reid Moser – Reid is another new addition to our program this summer. He has worked extremely hard on his mechanics and specifically balancing up on his finish. He has a great frame with good height and a great brain for football. He is an extremely smart kid which will set him up for long term success at the position. He has an extremely gifted arm as a passer and will be a force to be reckoned with once he ties it all together!

Jack Moss – Jack is another new addition to the program as well. Watching Jack in the Rumble at the Rock tournament he is an extremely blessed in game passer understanding where his receivers will be and where the defense is weak. Having worked with him now he is competitive and a perfectionist which are two of the most sought after traits a quarterback can have. As his throwing motion gets more natural he will continue to develop what is already an extremely strong and accurate arm. He is one to watch as this class gets to high school.

Skylar Nakpiban – Skylar is one of our JenkinsQB quarterbacks from California. I have been fortunate to work with Skylar when I go to Clovis California on their spring breaks. When you look at Sky you see a great frame and natural athlete who is gifted with great arm talent. As his footwork continues to improve with his relentless work ethic he will be one of the top passers to watch in this class. The ceiling is extremely high for his potential and I can’t wait to see where he takes it.

Will Samudio – Since I first started working with Will you can tell he has tremendous functional football intelligence. He is quiet but always understands what is going on and is one of the most accurate passers in this class. He always does a good job of putting the ball where it needs to be to avoid bad situations and sees angles in the passing game that most don’t. As he continues to work hard in the weight room and fill out his frame he will add even more arm talent to the smooth delivery he has and make a high school very lucky when he gets there.

That wraps up our class of 2020 preview. Stay tuned on the blog for the class of 2021 and below.
